Week 10 Portfolio Post
After the Pokémon were finished, Addison and I began making preparations for the presentation by making a slide. The slide contains the orthographics of each piece, manufacturing costs, and licensing. We decided that we'd make the pieces using ABS Plastic Injection Moulding. We've also had to look even more into the licensing so that we could get one from Game Freak, a company with a third of the ownership of Pokémon, so that we could be able to use the copyrighted characters. I've also started looking for Lego builds I could make for the next upcoming project. I've basically narrowed it down to either 'Mr. Freeze Batcylce Battle' or 'Black Panther Pursuit'.

Week 11 Portfolio Post
Addison and I worked entirely on the Chess Project Presentation over the duration of this week. Instead of finding a license through Game Freak, we found the licensing partnership deal between Pokémon Go creator, Niantic Labs, and the Pokémon Company to find out that 19% of revenues were given to the Pokémon Company. We have also had to research more into the types of moulds for ABS Plastic Injection Moulding and even labor costs, leading us to invest in robot automation. Addison recently finished up renders of each individual piece and the assembly to put on the presentation. After hearing about the 20 Lego piece recommendation, I most likely won't use either of the 'Mr. Freeze Batcylce Battle' or 'Black Panther Pursuit' Lego sets. I will continue looking into which set I will use by the end of the weekend.

Week 12 and 13 Portfolio Post
Last week, Addison finished up the renders of each chess piece and put them on the presentation. On the 12th week, I converted our sites into AP citations and put them at the end of the presentation. We then had to dress in either business casual or business to present, and I chose business casual. When presenting, the marketing class couldn't make it so each group presented before our own class and were asked questions by our class as well. On the 13th week, we only had one class because of Thanksgiving Break so I explored Brickfactory and have decided to make the Brickheadz Creeper (41612). Altogether, it has 59 parts. I will start making the parts next week and hope to finish at least six of them. Have a happy Thanksgiving and Thanksgiving Break!

Week 14 Portfolio Post
This week, besides starting to work on the parts, I decided to make both Steve and Creeper who collectively are made up of 117 parts. At the end of the week, I've completed every design for the parts except nine of them. To the right, the pictures shown are of the designs I've made so far that are more 'unique' than the others. All of the parts that I've left for last are somewhat hard and would take more time than the ones I've made so far. At the end of next week the parts will be due and the class will be taught on how to animate an assembly of the parts we've made. Although I am not able to make the part designs at home, I expect that I will be able to finish the parts.

Week 15 Portfolio Post
On Tuesday of this week, I finished up most of the pieces left and found out that I had put the wrong dimensions on all Legos that were built off of the 2 x 1 Green. This included at least five pieces that I had to redo and took up the remaining time of class on Tuesday. On Thursday, Mr. Larson was absent and we had a substitute. Along with the substitute came a research paper to do and it was on Nikola Tesla, inventor of the AC motor and Tesla coil. Typing the research paper took up most of my time and I had little time to finish up the pieces. Next week, the class will have to assemble and animate their Lego pieces.

Week 16 Portfolio Post
Using the parts I made last week, I was able to start assembling the Brickheadz. I finished Steve but couldn't finish the Creeper. I also had to redo some of the parts because the dimensions were wrong. Since I don't have AutoDesk Inventor installed at home, I won't be able to finish making the Creeper assembly or start on the exploding/deconstructing or building animations. This week was the last week before Christmas Break, so have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Week 17 Portfolio Post
This week I finished the Creeper Assembly, which I started before Christmas Break. After completing the assembly, I started on the explosion view. We were also lectured about the next project, car rims. Although I'm still currently undecided on which vehicle to choose, I think I might choose one of the vehicles my parents own.

Week 18 Portfolio Post
I finished the explosion view that I started last week. As practice, I followed the instructions to make a basic car rim wheel. I also used this as a chance to test out the stress analysis and see how sturdy the practice wheel was under a certain pressure or force. I chose the "2014 Bentley Continental GT V8 S" as the car of choice that I will make my car rim for. Next week is the end of the semester, and during next week, all of the classes will have to complete a Midterm Assessment over two class periods.
